Brandenburger Tor / Brandenburg Gate
I visited Berlin in April 2002 to attend an international ornithological conference. I was so disappointed to discover that the Brandenburg Gate was "under wraps" for restoration that I resolved to make a special return visit. I snapped these pictures in February 2005.
Location: Askam-in-Furness, Cumbria, United Kingdom
I live in the English Lake district, where the beautiful Duddon Estuary is at the end of my street.
All pictures on my blog are my own except when explicitly stated otherwise

Love that chariot statue.
It was certainly well worth the return visit.
I am walking to some bluebell woods tomorrow and hope to post on it later if I can take some good pics. I hope your son does well in the run tomorrow.
